Do you have a picture in your mind of what your future health would look like?
“You’ll See It When You Believe It”, by Wayne Dyer. He explains how our beliefs and what we think about dictate what manifests in our lives.
Success is not always easy, it’s a Journey
The path to optimal health is rarely straightforward.
It’s natural to experience setbacks and moments of doubt, wondering if you’ll ever feel better. Even if you’re facing a life-threatening illness, never lose hope.
Your mind is an incredibly powerful tool, capable of driving success, change, healing, and even miracles when you choose to tap into it.
Despite what your prognosis might be or what others say, envisioning yourself as healthy and vibrant—as if it’s already your reality—can play a transformative role in your journey.
The Power of Visualization
Have you ever heard of the vision board concept?
Vision boards help you identify and focus on the things you want in life—whether it’s a new car, a dream vacation, or better health.
Many people credit this practice with helping them achieve remarkable goals, and I am one of them.
In April 2015, I attended a women’s retreat where I created my first vision board.
Among my goals were becoming a yoga instructor and a published author.
Today, I’ve accomplished both. Why? Because I had a clear vision of what I wanted and kept it front and center in my life.
Let me be clear: Visualization is not about passively wishing.
It requires action.
But having a clear vision serves as a GPS, guiding you toward the steps you need to take to achieve your goals.
While some of my vision board goals haven’t yet materialized, others are within reach. Everything has its season.
My Health Journey
Years ago, during perimenopause, I developed fibrocystic breast tissue and was deemed at high risk for breast cancer.
My children were young at the time, and the thought of not being there for them was devastating.
That fear drove me to take action.
I began envisioning my breasts free of cysts and my body in perfect health.
This vision gave me hope and led me to discover Louise Hay’s book, “Heal Your Body”.
I incorporated daily affirmations like, “I have perfect breasts,” “My body is strong and supports me every day,” and “I am in perfect health.” Over time—and with consistent effort (nutrition, natural solutions, lifestyle changes—my cysts disappeared.
Create Your Vision for Health
Wherever you are on your health journey, there is always room for improvement.
Take the time to sit quietly, envision, and write down your optimal health.
Before you can create anything in reality, you must first create it in your mind.
Ask yourself:
- How will you feel when you achieve your vision of health?
- What activities will you enjoy?
- How will your life be different?
Picture It, Believe It, Act On It
Envision your North Star of health. Hold this image in your mind and let it inspire your daily actions.
Your health journey may take time, but with persistence and a clear vision, you can achieve your goals.
